Meet The Crew

Matthew

From:

California, USA

Position:

CEO Founder

Bio:

It started with an idea; to make one personalized song for his middle school students to increase motivation for state testing.  It grew from that thought.  As a doctor of counseling, and dropout prevention counselor,  Matthew (AKA “Doc”) wanted to use his creative side at work as much as possible. As a California University instructor who is teaching future school counselors and future school teachers all about at-risk students and working with teens, he wanted to do more. After bringing a variety of voice-overs, raps, opera, and fun personalized music to his school he thought bigger. He created a rap lyrics competition at his school where students would create lyrics to increase state testing scores. In just 10 days, with little preparation, he received over 100 submissions for a lyrics competition. Winners submissions were then performed by professional rappers to a pre-selected set of “beats”. The response was so positive it,  inspired  “Rock a School”.  “Rock-a-School” brings personalized music to the schools to inspire and encourage students to do their best and promote school spirit. He is extremely honored and excited to work with such a talented crew.
